Richard J. Johnson, age 46, passed away at home the morning of Friday, May 29th, 2020. Richard was born on December 5th, 1973 in Hudson, Wisconsin to James Richard and Margaret “Peggy” Ann Johnson (nee Meeker).

Richard attended grade school and high school in Hudson, and went on to take additional professional courses after his high school graduation. Richard loved watching professional wrestling and his beloved Green Bay Packers. His family would always be able to tell how the Packers were doing, just by the cheering or lack thereof that would come from Richard’s room. He enjoyed listening to music, regardless of the type of music playing. Richard truly loved his family, and enjoyed spending time with them at the cabin and particularly enjoyed fishing with his brothers.

Richard is preceded in death by his grandparents. He is survived by his parents, Jim and Peggy Johnson; brothers, David (Jeanne), Bill (Nicole), Joe (Dawn), and their families; his fiancé, Cindi Nellsen; daughter, Kayla; sons, Don (Cheri) Nellsen and Terry Duggan.

A Celebration of Life in Richard’s honor has now been set. A Time for friends and family to gather to remember Richard will be from 1pm to 3pm with a memorial service to conclude at 3pm on Sunday, July 19th at O’Connell Family Funeral Home.
