Jason William Abbott, age 40 of Somerset, passed away July 10th, 2017. Jason was born on September 13th, 1976; the son of Brian Abbott and Deborah (Hunter) Abbott. He attended elementary school as well as high school in Hudson, Wisconsin. Jason was General Manager of Allied Moving and Storage Inc. before becoming the Lead Installer at Aquarius Home Services.
Jason loved his family and friends above anything else in life. His genuine and selfless personality was felt by everyone that got to know him. Sports and entertainment were also greatly important throughout Jason’s life. As an avid fan of good music, Jason could often be heard singing along to the works of Frank Sinatra, or whichever artist happened to be on his radio in the car; he also had a profound interest in community theater. Jason became a fan of many sports; he was proud to be a Minnesota Timberwolves fan and also followed the Green Bay Packers. He was actively involved throughout his son’s hockey seasons as well, traveling all over the state of Minnesota to watch the games and show his unwavering support.
Jason will live on in the hearts of his son, Cody LaCosse; daughter, Bronte Ayre; parents, Brian (Joan) Abbott of Minong, WI, and Deborah (Lance) Conley of Hudson; siblings, Janelle (Brian) Abbott-Schak of Lake Elmo, Rich Schrader of Colorado Springs, CO, Jenni Abbott of Hudson, Michelle (Luke) Thorson of Hudson, John Noreen of Hudson, Allison Conley of Hudson, and Kevin Conley of Hudson; grandmother, Catharine of Edina, MN; his best friend, Megan (Nate) Gooden; and his dog, Jethro.
He is preceded in death by his grandparents, William Abbott, Nancy Greenwood, and David Hunter.
A gathering of family and friends will be held from 4:00-7:00 p.m. on Friday, July 14, at the O’Connell Family Funeral Home, 520 S. 11th St., Hudson, with a brief time of reflection at the conclusion. All who loved Jason are welcome to attend. Memorials are preferred in lieu of flowers.
