Dale Allen Reschke, age 52, was born on August 4, 1964 in Wichita, KS to Fred and Judy (Keys) Reschke. He grew up in Wichita, and graduated from Augusta High School, class of 1982. Dale attended Butler County Community College where he played trumpet in the Jazz Band, and later earned a Bachelor of Science in Engineering from Wichita State University where he was a member of the WSU Collegiate Bowling Squad. He later went on to earn his Professional Engineer license.
On December 31, 1987, he was united in marriage to Patti Granberry, at the Circus Circus Casino in Las Vegas, NV. Dale worked as a Programmer with Greenway Electric in Wichita, KS before taking a Project Engineer position with Purina Mills in St. Louis, MO. In 2002 the couple moved to Hudson, WI after Purina Mills was acquired by Land O’Lakes.
Dale was a kind, generous and humble man who adored spending time with his beloved family. He was able to fix anything and was extremely patient, especially when fixing something his “girls” broke even though his grandsons broke some stuff, too. He was a fun, playful Papa, and his grandchildren always looked forward to upside down kisses from him. He enjoyed visiting new places while vacationing with his wife or traveling for work. Dale had a lifelong fondness for bowling and participated in many leagues, most recently in River Falls, WI.
Dale will remain in the heart of his beloved wife of 29 years, Patti; daughters, Robin (Toby) Faulconer and Heather Williams; grandchildren, Caelyn, Caleb and Joshua Faulconer; Danica and Trasia Williams; mother, Judy Reschke. He is preceded in death by his father, Fred.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, March 25, 2017 at the Life Church, 7070 SW 60th St., Augusta, KS. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment at the Dunlap Cemetery in Rose Hill Township, Butler County, KS. Memorials preferred to the Leukemia Foundation or St. Jude’s Hospital.
