Saturday July 13, 2024
Prospect Park
511 Wisconsin Street
Hudson Wisconsin, 54016

Gerald Slade Bourget, age 24, decided to take his own life on June 27, 2024, after struggling with depression. He was loved by his family, friends and co-workers. Gerry had a kind heart, was very thoughtful towards others, and was a whiz at solving people’s problems with their electronics. He dearly loved animals, listening to his music, building intricate models, and his friend groups. He will be missed beyond measure. He resided in Maplewood, Minnesota, and was born on June 19, 2000, in Arlington, Virginia. He graduated from Hudson High School, Wisconsin, in 2018 and worked most recently for the Washington County Licensing Center in Forest Lake, Minnesota.
He is survived by his father Paul and his mother Lisa (Hudson) and sister Marie (Superior, Wisconsin). A celebration and remembrance of Gerry’s life will be held at Prospect Park in Hudson on Saturday, July 13 from noon to three. Donations in his memory should be directed to the American Foundation of Suicide Prevention.

  1. Dear Lisa and Family, we are thinking of you at this sad time. I did not meet your son, but you talked of him proudly. He sounded like a sweet person. Our hearts go out to you. Sending you our Love and Prayers.

  2. To Lisa and her family,
I was truly saddened to hear of your loss. Please know that I am thinking of you as you mend and heal during this time.

  3. I’m so sorry for your loss. I work at the library in the same building and always saw him go take his lunch in the 12to1 hour since I was at the desk. I think he liked eating in the loft area. I was very sad to hear about this and I can relate to his struggle. Peace and prayers for you all.
