Daren Allen Edwards

Daren Allen Edwards, age 61 of Plum City, WI passed away unexpectedly at his residence on May 17th, 2021. Daren was born March 29, 1960 to Sylvester and Florence (Davis) Edwards in Syracuse, NY. After High School, Daren enlisted in the United States Army where he served 4 years. During that time, he met the love of his life Faith Bloomstrand. Daren and Faith were united in marriage on September 17, 1981 in Denmark. This union blessed them with two children, Dustin and Heather. Daren continued his education after being discharged from the military obtaining many degrees but was currently working towards his doctorate in education.

Daren was a man of many trades, throughout his life he dabbled in just about everything; construction, greenhouses, handy-man work, farming, and teaching. Teaching was one of his greatest passions, the pursuit of knowledge was a constant in his life. Ambitious is the perfect word to describe Daren for he would reach for the stars and take on new challenges. Owning many businesses over the years he was described at an experimental entrepreneur from building inspector, wineries, farms, hydroponic greenhouses just to name a few. Daren will be greatly missed by all the lives he touched over the years in his many business ventures, to his students that he taught.

Daren is survived by his loving wife of 39 years, Faith; children, Dustin (Amy) Edwards, Heather (Keith) Mark, grandchildren: Alexia, Amilia, Wyatt, and Kylie, sister, Elaine McKelvey, Brenda (Ray) Syzmanski, brothers, Tom Edwards, Bob (Mary) Edwards, brother-in-law, Keith Sherwood, sisters-in-law: Fay Albarado, Tana (Lee) Langer, brother-in-law, Darren (Shelly) Bloomstrand, and mother-in-law Delores Bloomstrand. He was preceded in death by his parents, Sylvester and Florence Edwards, sister, Diane Sherwood, brother-in-law, Jim McKelvey, and father-in-law, Lorin Bloomstrand.

A visitation will take place from 3:00 – 5:00pm, Saturday May 22, 2021 at O’Connell-Benedict Family Funeral Home, 130 North Grant St. Ellsworth, WI 54011. At 5:00pm military honors will be presented by the Frank – Gillis American Legion Post # 365.
