Diane Jean DeWitte, age 62 of Arlington, Wisconsin, formerly of Hudson died peacefully Monday November 28, 2016 at the Agrace Hospice Care in Fitchburg, Wisconsin. Diane was born on March 13, 1954 in Hudson, Wisconsin; the daughter of Robert ‘Bob’ and Donna Mae (Peterson) DeWitte. Being raised in Hudson, she attended EP Rock Elementary prior to graduating from Hudson High School. She worked as service manager for Pharo Marine in Waunakee for many years and made many friends in doing so.
She loved to bike around the Madison lakes and countryside. She took great pride in her yard trees and flowers. She loved spending time with her two nephews and niece. Her special cat Lacey and the Pharo dogs always put a smile on her face with their unconditional love. Her great nephew Brody brought joy to her world.
Diane found out 15 months ago she had cancer. She fought a hard year long battle, going thru chemo & radiation. Yet, she always had a great outlook working to enjoy life; which she did have a great year. She travelled to Disney World as well as an Alaskan Cruise with her sister, niece, and great nephew. Furthermore, She attended her nephew Clint’s & Kym’s wedding in great style & joy feeling & looking fabulous!
Diane will live on in the hearts of her sisters Nancy (Bill) Pharo of Middleton, WI, Mary Gwen (Dennis) Marquardt of Owatonna, MN; nephews and niece: Clint (Kym) Pharo, Andy (Claire) Pharo, and Elizabeth Marquardt; aunt, Annette DeWitte of Hudson; extended family and friends. Diane is preceded in death by her parents Robert and Donna (Peterson) DeWitte, brother James DeWitte, Grandparents John and Dorothy (Frederick) DeWitte and Ted and Elizabeth (Weber) Peterson, aunt and uncles Gwen (Bill) Heffron, and Kenneth DeWitte.
Funeral service for Diane will be 1PM Friday December 2nd at Trinity Lutheran Church in Hudson. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at Trinity. Interment will be in the family plot at Willow River Cemetery in Hudson. Memorials preferred and will be used to further Diane’s passions in life. Funeral services entrusted to the O’Connell Family Funeral Home and Countryside Crematory of Baldwin.
A celebration of life will be held on Jan. 21, 2017 from 1pm to 4pm at Pharo Marine in Waunakee for friends, family, and customers. The DeWitte family would like to thank Dr. Nataliya Uboha, her assistant Stacey and all the nurses at UW Carbone Cancer Center for their support and care. Also for the family, friends and supporters who got her thru the battle with cancer, you have been a blessing to all of us.
