Donald ‘Donny’ Lee Pulk age 53 of Ellsworth, died unexpectedly November 9, 2021 while receiving dialysis treatment. Donny was born August 1, 1968 in Hastings, Minnesota; the son of Roger and Joyce (Mansmith) Pulk. He attended elementary school in Prescott prior to graduating from Ellsworth High School. As a young man, he enlisted in the Armed Forces and proudly served in the United States Army. Donny loved over-the-road truck driving. He worked for Eilen Trucking (Lindstrom Farms) as well as Spirit Trucking & Rohl Custom Harvesting.
Donny was a simple man who had more than his share of health issues over his life. He didn’t complain about them and lived the best he could with his ailments. He loved anything that went fast. He loved boating and snowmobiling with friends. His heart was broken this past year when his best friend, Josie, his boxer dog died.
Donny is survived by his siblings Julie Sokup of Chippewa Falls, John (Gina) Pulk of River Falls, Jane (Tom) Wider of Ellsworth, Dave (Jodi) Pulk of Elmwood; as well as his nieces and nephews. His parents and brother Randy Bayne precede him in death.
Donny’s family will be celebrating his life in a private setting. Please hold them close to your heart and thoughts and prayers. Cremation and Funeral Services entrusted to the O’Connell Family Funeral Home Ellsworth.
