Harold Paul Richey, Age 76 passed peacefully on December 21st, 2022 surrounded by family. Born in Greenfield Indiana, Harold was proud to have volunteered and served in battle during the Vietnam War, earning a bronze star and purple heart.  After serving honorably for his country, Harold earned his CPA from Indiana University. He worked at the Wells Fargo Bank in acquisitions and properties for many years.  In retirement, Harold was devoted to Volunteering his talents to charitable causes including; Prevent Child Abuse Minnesota, Second Harvest, Theater in the Round, and offering free tax services for low-income clients.

Harold had many passions – spending quality time loving and supporting his grandchildren, running marathons, hiking, traveling, watching motorsports, and Gopher basketball. He also loved listening to Jimmy Buffet and Glenn Yarborough.

He is survived by his loving wife Susy; Children; Rick (Shannon), Cricket (Paul) and Kyle (Joanne) and eight grandchildren; Samuel, Nicholas, Charles, Megan, Brennan, Beckett, Alex and Max.

There will be a public service at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, December 28th at Bethel Lutheran Church – Highlands Campus, 504 Frontage Rd., Hudson, WI with a visitation 1 hour prior to the service at church. The service will be livestreamed on Bethel’s website. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the Parkinson’s Foundation.

  1. I am so sorry for your loss. Your family is in my thoughts and prayers. Reading more about Harold, what a great life he led, glad I was able to meet him and know him, even just a little.
