Harvey Wayne Bosman age 85 of Baldwin, passed away on Friday April 24, 2015 at the Baldwin Care Center. Harvey was born on December 1, 1929 (third of four children) to parents Gerhard and Ellen (Krugerud) Bosman. He attended Hopyard Grade School and graduated from the Baldwin High School in 1947. As a youngster, he was the ‘water boy’ for his dad and his carpenter crew. He grew up in the trade and after high school, he worked full time with his dad, up until and after the Army. Harvey entered the Army and attended telephone training school at the Japanese naval base, then on to Okinawa in Signal Corp. He became a cook. After working back with his dad for a while, he was hired on by George Hop, and worked for him about 18 years. Following this, he went on his own up until his retirement.
On February 3rd, 1955, Harvey married Donna Anderson. Born to this union was a daughter Jeri, and a son Larry (who died at the age of three months from SIDS at Children’s Hospital in St. Paul) were born.
Harvey is preceded in death by his parents Gerhard and Ellen (Krugerud) Bosman; infant son Larry; siblings and their spouses Walter (Jean) Bosman, Gladys (Dale) Brorson, and Irene (Stanley) Larson.
Harvey is survived by his wife Donna of 60 years; daughter Jeri (Kent) Radunzel of Baldwin; grandsons Todd (Marisela) Radunzel of Baldwin, Tracy (Kelly) Radunzel of Eau Claire, great grandson Aiden Radunzel of Menomonie, many nieces, nephews and old friends. He is dearly loved and missed by all.
Funeral service for Harvey Bosman will be 11AM Tuesday April 28th at First United Presbyterian Church in Baldwin with Pastor Medhat Yoakheim officiating. Burial will be in the Sunset Cemetery in Woodville with casketbearers being Kent Radunzel, Todd Radunzel, Tracy Radunzel, Aiden Radunzel, Phil Parks, and Harold Bishop. Military honors will be provided by the Baldwin American Legion Post #240. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at church on Tuesday morning. Memorials preferred. Memorials may be made in memory of Harvey to the First United Presbyterian Church or the Baldwin Care Center. Funeral services entrusted to the O’Connell Family Funeral Home of Baldwin.
