Kathryn Dunlap

Kathryn E. Dunlap, age 71 of Hudson, died unexpectedly due to a pulmonary embolism on Monday, January 13, 2020 at the Lakeview Hospital in Stillwater, MN. Kathy was born on December 20, 1948, in Boscobel, WI, to parents Robert and Virginia (Gasser) Schmidt. She grew up in Boscobel and graduated from Boscobel High School with the class of 1967. Kathy continued her education at the University of Wisconsin-Madison where she earned a degree in speech pathology. While at college, she met the love of her life, Stephen Dunlap, and the couple were united in marriage on August 21, 1971 in Boscobel. Kathy and Steve moved to Omaha, NE for a few years before relocating to Superior, WI where their son, Matthew was born. In 1976, the family moved to Hudson, and later grew with the birth of daughter, Anne. Kathy exemplified strength, loyalty and selflessness taking care of her family, and worked for many years as the Children Services Administrator for St. Croix County Health and Human Services.
