Kenneth ‘Kenny’ Krech

Kenneth ‘Kenny’ Krech, age 88 of Prescott joined his soul mate Carol when he passed peacefully on December 20, 2021 at the Prescott Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Kenny was born on April 30, 1933 in Prescott; the son of Henry and Huldah (Bester) Krech. He was raised in Prescott where he graduated from Prescott High School in the class of 1951. Following high school, he married Carol Ann Johnson at St. Bridget’s Catholic Church in River Falls WI. He then was drafted by the armed forces where he served in the United States Army at Camp Chaffee in Fort Smith Arkansas. They were blessed with sixty-five years of marriage and five children. Kenneth was a devoted employee of nearly forty years for the Ford Motor Company.

Kenny looked forward to their annual trip with family to Devils Lake in Webster WI and also many weekend trips with friends to the north woods. Many memories were created here as the kids were growing up. He was a master at charcoal grilling. He had “charcoaled chicken”, halves only, down to an art. While being at home, Kenny took great pride in his lawn and garden. Being a proud Ford guy, he made sure his vehicles were clean and shined brightly. For years, Kenny served his community as a volunteer fire fighter for Prescott Fire Department. It certainly ran in the family as his brother Don and all his sons were/are on the department as well.

Kenny is survived by his children, Debby (Palmer) Hanson, Dan (Mary) Krech, Dale (Brenda) Krech, DeeDee (Jim) Baker, and Doug (Denise Heschke) Krech; grandchildren, Annie, Amy, Andrew, Kim, Kari, Kallie, Chris, Ellie, Jacob, Phil, Patrick, and Brady; twenty-two great-grandchildren; as well as many other relatives and friends. His bride Carol Ann; siblings Myra, Leona, Alfred, Francis, Donald, Norbert, and Sylvia all precede him in death.

Funeral service for Kenny Krech will be 11AM, Tuesday, December 28th at the Old Ptaceks Events Center in Prescott. Visitation will be one hour prior. Burial will be in the St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Prescott. Pallbearers will be Andrew Hanson, Jacob Krech, Christopher Krech, Philip Baker, Patrick Baker, Brady Heschke while his fellow Prescott Fire Fighters serve as honorary Pallbearers.
