Patricia Mary Girardi, age 73 of River Falls, WI, died on Thursday, March 11, 2021 at her residence, surrounded by her loved ones. Pat was born December 21, 1947 in Red Wing, MN, to parents William N. and Lorraine M. (Buss) Gavin. She attended school in River Falls, graduating from River Falls High School with the Class of 1965.

Pat worked for many years as an Executive Secretary with the International Division of 3M. There at 3M is where she would meet her future husband, Robert Girardi. The two began dating, and were united in marriage on September 27, 1975 at St. Mary’s Big River Catholic Church. Together with Bob, Pat loved to cook and work in the kitchen, spend time at home, and spoil her beloved Sheltie, Mandy. Pat and Bob also enjoyed annual salmon fishing trips to Lake Michigan.

Pat grew up in a great family, and always enjoyed family get-togethers. Through the years, she faced her fair share of challenges with M.S. Though it may have slowed her down a bit and presented its own trials and tribulations, it didn’t stop her from enjoying sewing, shopping for antiques, and remaining active. She looked forward to time spent with her parents and siblings, her nieces and nephews, as well as visits and talks with her numerous friends. She will be dearly missed.

Pat is survived by her loving husband of 45 years, Bob; her nieces and nephews, Michelle (Gary) Standaert, Kim (Randy) Maier, Kelly (Dan) Horvath, John (Amanda) Huppert, Bill Hildebrandt, and Joe Hildebrandt; great-nieces and great-nephews, Jason, Keydan, Matt, Abbi, Danell, Justin, Logan, Keldan, Amber, and Clayton; other relatives, and friends. Pat was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Susan and Carol; brother, Gordon; and brother-in-law, Jerry Girardi.

The life of Patricia Girardi will be celebrated on Saturday, March 20, 2021 at the St Bridget Catholic Church, 211 E. Division Street in River Falls, WI. Family and friends will gather for a visitation beginning at 11:00am, and Mass will take place at 1:00pm. Pat’s final place of rest will be the St. Mary’s Big River Catholic Cemetery.
