Richard Matthew Hanks, born November 28th 1935 in Russellville, Arkansas, peacefully passed away October 25th 2013. He spent the majority of his life in Covina and Upland California. Richard married Shirley Ann Hanks on December 5th 1964 and were blessed with eight children.

Richard loved his children and wife unconditionally. He enjoyed his grandchildren and the laughter and smiles they had for him. He cherished his time and memories spent with all of his brothers and sisters, his parents and friends.

Richard is survived by his wife Shirley Ann Hanks; daughters: Terri Kachurka, Debbie Braegger, Diane Evans, and Karen Watts; sons: David Hanks, Gregory Davies, and Curtis Hanks; nine grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by son Randall Davies; 3 sisters; 2 brothers; and parents, James Raymond Hanks and Ida Irene Hanks.

Richard Hanks was a consistantly ”good faith”” type of fellow, his word was his bond, and believed in common wisdom. His is faith in Jesus his Savior never waivered and may I say that our greatest blessing is the assurance of Dick Hanks’ eternal security in the arms of his Heavenly Father, now received unto glory indubitable.

A Private Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, November 16th at Faith Community Church, Hudson WI.
