Robert “Bob” Bjork, age 82, of Prescott passed away Friday, May 21, 2021.

He was the first born of nine children to Ralph and Helen Bjork on January 26, 1939. He was raised outside of Ellsworth, WI in Trimbelle Township. He walked uphill both ways to school in his younger years and as the oldest, he was an influence to his siblings, both good and not-so-good at times.

Out of high school, he went on to work several farming jobs throughout Pierce County. This experience led to his indefinite love of tractors, mostly John Deere, and auctions which he enjoyed to attend. He then built his career and loved his time at Harris Mechanical in St Paul, working for Ron Harris & Sheldon Stewart, starting at their location in the historic mines on Ohio Street. He started as a janitor, moved to driver, and worked his way into warehouse and project management until his retirement in the 90’s. Once retired, his new job was just as close to his heart, providing care for his grandchildren and being the family handyman, carpenter, and landscaper.

He met Annette Kinneman when they were teenagers. They married and moved to the Big River community in Oak Grove Township. Between their home and the cabin in Oakland Township, on Devils Lake, they built a life and grew to a family of six. Bob spent his days helping others, giving his family all of the love and support they could have wished for, teaching his family the ropes, and most hilariously, how to improperly fix most things and make it work with what he had on hand. He wore many hats throughout his years, most proudly as our hero. He made many friends and memories over the years, spending his time between Prescott, Webster, and Gulf Shores, AL.

He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Annette, children: Mikki (Dan Richardson) of New Port, MN, Tracy (Jeff) Johnson, Bobbi (Tim Mathiesen), and Tony (Andrea) all of Prescott, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He will be greatly missed by many more family and friends.

The family will be holding a private ceremony, Thursday May 27, 2021. In lieu of flowers, please send donations in memory of Bob Bjork to your local food pantry.
