  1. Butch you had such important insights about life. (And some damn funny ones too.) Which were, somehow always important as well. I think of our relationship in a paradox: I didn’t know you as well as I would have liked, and at the same time I knew you well. Months or years could go by without seeing you, and whenever I walked into a room after the time had elapsed, you had such a warm way of making the hug/embrace so loving and familiar that it was as if your heart and presence were timeless. (they still are, by the way.) In my fond memories of you, I see you with the biggest smile on your face and some clever anecdotal words to express with all you came into contact. You were one of a kind. Thank you for teaching us so much. Until we meet again…

  2. I am so sorry to hear about your husband’s passing, Roxie. When I saw you recently at our class reunion, we were discussing your Mom passing on and now you have another great loss!!
I’m sending my deepest sympathies and keeping you in my prayers.
May you feel God’s love and strength around you.

  3. Our deepest sympathy to you and your family Roxie. May memories bring you joy, family and friends bring you comfort and the love of our Lord bring you peace. We are keeping you in our thoughts, prayers and hearts.
