Robert E. Vandermaar, age 85, formerly of Justice, IL, passed away May 24, 2016 at the American Heritage Care Center in Hammond, WI. Proudly served our country in the United States Navy, Korean War Veteran. Robert was a truck driver for many years with Teamsters Union, Local 705 and Local 710. He had a passion for Nascar racing, and the Indy 500.

Robert will remain in the hearts of his sister, Joyce Sutherland; nieces: Cheryl Rosendal, Ruth Anne Fick, Kim Dahan, and Debbie Belote; nephew, Rick Sullivan; and many loving great- nieces and great-nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jacob and Janetta Vandermaar; sister, Ruth Rosendal; brother-in-law, William Rosendal; and nieces, Elaine Kooiman and Lynette Rosendal.

Graveside services with military honors will be held at 12:45 PM Wednesday, June 1, 2016 at Fort Snelling National Cemetery, Minneapolis, MN.
