  1. Kathy and family,

I am so very sorry to hear of your loss. Saying goodbye is the hardest thing ever, even when you know it’s just “goodbye for now”. Take comfort that Jesus has promised that he has gone ahead to prepare a place for us, and that we will be together again. Hugs to all of you during this difficult time.

    With love,
    Bob and Paula Ring

  2. I knew Steve, when I worked for the city of Taylors Falls and he was our engineer. What a sweet man. I so enjoyed his many many stories of his family, Kathy, his wife and his two boys. Whether it was fishing, or hunting or schools stuff (Kathy or the boys). He was truly a family man. I’m sure there will be many people that will miss Steve. And ‘m sure the heavenly gates were wide open when he walked through. Rest in peace Steve. You were the best of the best.

  3. Steve was such a fun person to have stop by here at Chisago Cit Hall offices. We enjoyed his wit, his laugh, his stories and his genuine sincere personality. I won’t forget his visits, his talks at our back counter, and his love of BBQ. We heard of his battle, and we were all of the belief that he would of course defeat this. I feel that anyone that battles this disease is the bravest, no matter the outcome, and have tremendous sympathy and compassion for the mental toll on Steves family and friends. Please know all of us at Chisago City Hall followed his journey, prayed for you all and were struck with sadness at the finality and suddenness of his loss. He was a great guy and just a fun person to have around. Blessings to you all. Doris Zacho

  5. I am shocked and saddened to learn of Steve’s death. He was the City Engineer in Chisago City in the early to mid 1990’s while I was the City Attorney. I respected Steve personally and professionally. He was a very bright and personable guy with an abundance of common sense.

  6. I am shocked and saddened to learn of Steve’s death. He was the City Engineer for Chisago City in the mid 1990’s while I served as city attorney. I respected him personally and professionally. He was very bright, but also very personable, with an abundance of common sense. My sincere sympathies to his wife and children.
