Jennie Johnson-Wrege:
Jennie joined our women’s Bible study group a year or so before that darned pandemic. We loved having her as a sister in our group. She brought wisdom, kindness and a well-tuned sense of humor to our studies. It took a bit of arranging to get her to Christ the King to meet in person, but she got it worked out.
Once COVID took over, she joined the meetings on Zoom (as we all learned how to connect in a new way).
When Marv died, we became a circle of friends who could share in her grief and who would listen to her memories and what she treasured from life with him and their family.
After her move to Woodville, we stayed connected by telephone.
Jennie let her light shine despite her physical hardships and shared thoughtful, positive insights into our studies, or about life – especially life in Christ. She was a joy to talk with and was willing to wonder about questions of faith and the Bible and was not afraid to say, “I don’t know.” Jennie was, indeed, an example of a joyful and humble spirit. We will miss her, but even more significantly, we will remember her. Thanks, God for helping Jennie to find us and become our sister and thanks, Jennie, for being ready and willing to gather with us in love.

Jennie was so special to me, she took me me under her wing. With her guidance I was the first church secretary and she was a wonderful friend who taught me so well. She was the pastor at Siloa, we both grew in ways we couldn’t imagine, her adopting the boys, watching her become a mom was precious. Love and prayers, Marcia
