Bleier, Inge

Ingeborg ‘Inge’ G. Bleier, 91, passed away peacefully surrounded by the love of her family on May 26, 2020 in Hudson, WI. Inge was born September 22, 1928 in Ulm, Germany to Erwin and Emma Leipold. The family moved to the US and settled in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. After graduating from Lincoln High School in 1947, she met Howard Bleier on a blind date and the two were married June 9, 1951.

The couple settled in Hudson where Howard opened his dental practice. After raising three children, Inge worked for more than 20 years at the St Croix County Courthouse where she was eventually the Deputy Clerk of Courts. Inge was active in the church, the Garden Club and loved to knit, quilt and read. She also enjoyed spending time with her family, especially at family parties and sporting events.

Inge is survived by her son James (Gail) Bleier; daughters, Karen (Mark) Schmeets and Barbara (Patrick) Coffey; sister, Susie Zainer; sister-in-law, Sue Ellen Bleier Agin (Ron); brother-in-law, Barry (Lynne) Bleier; six grandchildren Aaron (Sarah) Bleier, Jeremy (Alexandria) Trieb, Lucas (Tanya) Trieb, Andrew (Katie) Bleier, Alysha (Jeremy) Gilstrap and Emily (Nick) Watters; eleven Great-grandchildren, Evelyn Bleier, Magdalene Watters, Carson Bleier, Kristen Gilstrap, Martin Bleier, Alice Watters, Carter Trieb, Caleb Trieb, Nicholas Bleier, Grace Trieb, Hannah Trieb; and many other nieces,  nephews and friends.

Inge was preceded in death by her loving husband of 58 years, Howard, her parents Erwin and Emma Leipold, her brothers Erwin Jr., and Richard; and sisters, Ruth Ann Kinner, and Carol Meier.

A private memorial service for Inge will be held Friday afternoon, May 29th.  Interment beside her husband Howie will follow at Willow River Cemetery in Hudson. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the Hudson Public Library or to a charity of your choice. Services entrusted to the O’Connell Family Funeral Home in Hudson.
