Dakotah Coach

Dakotah Shane Coach, age 18, of Hammond, WI passed away on May 14, 2013.  He was born on February 28, 1995 in Mishawaka, Indiana to Shane Coach and Nicole Krol.  He was about to graduate from Saint Croix Central High School and had been accepted into the School of Music at University of Wisconsin- Stevens Point.

Dakotah’s biggest passion was for music.  He enjoyed listening and playing all different genres of music.  He prided himself on his abilities with his trumpet and was always willing to give lessons or helpful suggestions to others.  He constantly challenged himself and looked for ways to improve.  He was an active member in his high school music ensembles.  He marched for the Colts Drum and Bugle Corps last year and was looking forward to being part of that elite group again.  He was kind, generous, had a fabulous sense of humor, and was always there for everyone.  He also loved going to the theatre, especially the Guthrie, to see all types of plays.

Dakotah is survived by his; father, Shane (Genae) Coach of Hammond, WI and mother, Nicole (Greg) Krol of North Liberty, IN; siblings, Brinley, Keaton and Liberty Coach of Hammond, WI, and Austin Coach and Olivia Teitsma of North Liberty, IN and many relatives and good friends.  He is preceded in death by his brother, Maguire Coach, of Hammond, WI.

An open house for Dakotah will be held Wednesday, May 22 from 3:00-9:00 pm at the Warren Park, 710 112 Street, Roberts, Wisconsin.  A service celebrating his life will take place at 7pm.  Live music throughout the night, including after the service, will include a trumpet ensemble, jazz trio, vocal tributes and various other performances.  In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred.  Friends are encouraged to dress casual and bring lawn chairs.  Services are in the care of the O’Connell Family Funeral Home – Baldwin Chapel.  715.684.3434
