Diane Shervheim

With heavy hearts we announce the passing of Diane Adele Shervheim, age 71, of Ellsworth, Wisconsin, who peacefully departed from this world on February 14, 2024 in the comfort of her home. Diane will forever be cherished and remembered for her kindness and generosity of spirit, which touched the lives of all who knew her.

Diane was a beloved daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She found joy in life’s simple pleasures—the beauty of nature, time spent gardening, especially her zinnias and roses, enjoying relaxing on the front porch, and so much more.

Diane cherished her 28 years of marriage to Gary, embracing life with a heart full of love and gratitude. She held dear her children, Jeanie, Amy, Jodie, Brenton, and Bradley, finding solace and joy in the precious time spent together as a family. Diane’s devotion extended to her grandsons Clarence and Hernan (the most recent addition to her family). Their very presence brought a sparkle to her eyes. She created memories that will be cherished forever.

Diane was born in Duluth, Minnesota on May 19, 1952 to Clarence and Geraldine Neufeld, who predeceased her.

She leaves behind her beloved husband Gary, her children Jeanie (Mike), Amy, and Jodie (Matt), stepchildren Brenton and Bradley (Astrid), grandchildren Clarence and Hernan, as well as her siblings Bonnie (Doug), Jim, and Randy (Sue), and Gary’s siblings Anne (Andy), Heidi (Jim), Robette (Gary), Shanna, and Bryce (Gina). Diane will also be dearly missed by numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends whose lives she touched with her warmth and giving nature.

A memorial gathering to celebrate Diane’s life will be held in the spring, when the flowers are in bloom at the farm she so dearly loved. Details regarding the gathering will be shared closer to the date. In the meantime, let us hold Diane’s memory close to our hearts and find comfort in the knowledge that she is at peace, surrounded by the beauty and love that she so wholeheartedly embraced in life.

Memorial and cremation services are entrusted to the O’Connell Family Funeral Home of Ellsworth, www.oconnellfuneralhomes.com, 715-273-4421
