Irvin Fred Spreeman Jr., aged 81, of Ellsworth, formerly of Prescott, peacefully passed away on April 13, 2024, at Abbot Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis. Born on September 13, 1942, in Prescott, WI, Irv was the beloved son of Ervin and Cora (Madsen) Spreeman.

Irv’s journey was one of love and devotion. He shared his life with his cherished wife, Pam Friese, whom he married on April 28, 1962, at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Hastings, MN. Together, they nurtured their two children, Scott and Kim, with boundless affection and guidance.

A man of many passions, Irv found joy in simple pleasures. Whether it was a leisurely round of golf, winter retreats to Texas, mastering culinary delights in the kitchen, or tinkering under the hood of cars, he embraced life’s moments with quiet contentment. Known for his subtle humor and love for Christmas Hallmark movies, Irv’s presence brought warmth and laughter to those around him.

Professionally, Irv was a dedicated entrepreneur, having owned and operated Prescott Oil for many years. His commitment extended to the community, where he served as a trusted bus driver for the Prescott School District.

Irv is survived by his devoted wife, Pam Spreeman; loving children, Scott Spreeman and Kim Spreeman; and sister, Bev (Kirby) Berg. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ervin and Cora Spreeman, and his siblings, Carol Mallory and Terry Spreeman.

A Memorial Service honoring Irv’s life will be held at 10:30AM on Wednesday, April 17, 2024, at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, located at 1048 Orrin Rd, Prescott, WI 54021. Prior to the service, a visitation will be held starting at 9:00AM. Interment will follow at Pine Glen Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests contributions to a charity of your choice in Irv’s memory.

Services are entrusted to the O’Connell Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services of Prescott. For more information, please visit www.oconnellfuneralhomes.com or call 715-262-5404.
