Lloyd Allen Buckminster, 96, of Hudson, died November 26, 2010, at Hudson Hospital.

He was born on August 18, 1914, in Sedgwick, Maine. He moved to Hudson in 2007 from his retirement home in Ellenton, Florida, where he spent 22 years with his wife, Irma, until her death in 1998. He was a retired mechanical engineer.

A graveside service will take place when he is returned to his beloved Maine to rest in peace with Irma.

He was a kind and gentle man who will be greatly missed by his surviving family: Nancy Lane (Ed Lane) of Santa Fe, NM; Susan Buckminster (Eric Wood) of Hudson; and two grandchildren, Erik Olson of St. Paul, MN and Christine Olson, of Sydney, Australia.
