Lucille Ruth Quam, age 88, of Baldwin, Wisconsin, peacefully left this world at Sacred Heart Hospital in Eau Claire, WI., surrounded by her loving husband and many of her children on December 26, 2023.

Lucille was born January 9, 1935, to parents John and Lorena (Borgschatz) Hinrichs in Zumbrota, MN. She was raised on her family farm in Zumbrota, MN. After graduating from High School, she worked at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN.  During this time, she met and was united in marriage with the love of her life, Donald Quam, March 11, 1956, in Zumbrota, MN.  Together they raised eight children.

Lucille was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who kept the house smelling good with all her homemade cookies and dishes.  Her family and friends meant the world to her and her love and support she offered others was unwavering. She would go out of her way to make others feel special and loved without expecting anything in return.  She had a way of always finding joy and blessings in her life. Her Christian faith was so apparent in every conversation and interaction she had. Because of this, we all have treasured memories of her.

Lucille is survived by her loving husband of 67 years Donald Quam, son David (Becky) Quam, daughters Patricia (Michael) Burke, Rebecca Phillips, Linda (Steven) Sager, Sarah (Eddie) Beck, Amy (Chad) Stuttgen and Jennifer (Jeff) Lueck. Grandchildren: Karen (Andy) Ives, Amanda (Doug) Nadeau, Victoria (fiancée Ben) Talmage, Heather Hanson, Joseph (Laura) Hanson, Brian Hanson, Ashley Sager, Hailey Sager, Chauntel (Jeff) Nelson, Ashley Lomker, Lucy Beck, Jake Beck, Caleb Ontiveros, Sophia Lueck, Autumn Stuttgen and 11 great grandchildren.  Siblings: Judy Campbell, John (Donna) Hinrichs, sisters-in-law Miriam Hinrichs, Elaine Elstad, brother-in-law Dave Anderson. And many nieces and nephews.

Lucille is preceded in death by her parents John and Lorena Hinrichs, mother and father-in-law Eva and Albert Quam, son James Quam, son-in-law John Phillips and stepfather Edwin Hadler.  Siblings: Lillian Anderson, Arley Hinrichs, Doris Miller, Marie Bolster, Willis Hinrichs, and Ruth Hinrichs. Brothers-in-law Richard Miller, Raymond Banks, Don Bolster, Gerry Fremouw, Sam Campbell, Gene Jacobson, Lester Flom, Carmon Elstad and sisters-in-law Donna Hinrichs, Doris Flom, Leona Jacobson, and Irene Banks.

A private family service is to be held at Gethsemane Lutheran Church, Baldwin, WI.  Memorials preferred.
