Marian Elizabeth Hamann, age 79, passed away peacefully on April 14, 2022 in River Falls, WI. She was born to Lester and Gladys Bickerstaff in Cornell, WI on September 26, 1942.

Marian grew up with two brothers and two step brothers.  As a young adult she went on a blind date with Eldo Hamann; he turned out to be the love of her life.  The couple married on October 8th, 1960 in Albany, MN and they had their son, Dan, on August 24, 1961 in St Paul, MN.  Marian loved being a mother.  Her other interests included gardening, baking and family camping trips. She took pride in her flower beds, her household plants, and decorating her home.  She worked in the shipping dept at West Publishing for over 30 years.  While working full-time, she went back to school to get her GED, then attended cosmetology school and took on a part-time job as a beautician.  In 1979, Marian and Eldo parted ways only to reconnect and remarry again 18 years later.  One of the highlights of her life was becoming a grandmother; she loved her granddaughter, Megan, and she lit up every time she saw her.

Marian will forever remain in the hearts of her beloved husband Eldo, her son Dan, her  granddaughter Megan, her brothers and her nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents Lester and Gladys Bickerstaff.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 21st, 2022 at St. Luke’s Lutheran Church in New Richmond, WI at 11:00 a.m. with a visitation one hour prior.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the family.
