Marian Grace Phillips, age 87 of New Richmond, WI and formerly of Monroe, WI, died on Monday, September 20, 2010 in New Richmond, WI.  Marian was born on Easter Sunday, April 1, 1923 in Monroe, WI to parents George H. and Leila Grace (Stauffacher) Bridge. Marian was united in marriage to LeRoy R.”Cookie” Phillips on June 22, 1941.

Marian worked many places in Monroe, including the Commercial and Savings Bank, City Hall as Deputy Clerk, Seventh Avenue, and Nancy’s. Marian belonged to the St. Omar Chapter of the Eastern Star, the United Methodist Church, and the American Legion Auxiliary. Marian loved people, and enjoyed serving others.

Marian is survived by her son, Kent (Janice) Phillips; granddaughters, Linda K. Janse, and Laura (Steven) Loppnow; and great-grandchildren, John Loppnow, Nathan Loppnow, and Nicholas Janse. There is no visitation or service. In honoring Marian’s wishes, a private family service was conducted at her graveside.  Services entrusted to the O’Connell Family Funeral Homes of Baldwin and Hudson, WI.
