Wendy Schultz

Wendy Dorine Schultz, age 66 of Vadnais Heights, MN, formerly of Hudson, WI, passed away November 13, 2015 at Regions Hospital in St. Paul.  Wendy was born February 26, 1949 in Minneapolis, MN, the daughter of Jaye and Pattye (Truman) Hoff.  She graduated from St. Paul Central High School, the class of 1967, and furthered her education at the University of Minnesota.  Wendy was united in marriage on August 18, 1973 to Clayton Tanner.  Their marriage, although later dissolved, was blessed with two children, Christie and Samuel.   In her earlier years, Wendy worked as a receptionist for Midway National Bank.  Wendy was very talented in working with stained glass, and owned her own business called, Glass Concepts from 1984 until 2011.  She was united to her love and best friend, James Schultz on June 2, 1990.  They shared 20 wonderful years together, until his death in 2011.  

Wendy was gifted creatively, not only with stained glass, but also working on household projects, remodels and crafts. Although Wendy faced many challenges and struggles throughout her life, her gracious heart and sense of humor touched the many lives of those who loved her.  She adored her children and grandchildren, and was very proud of their accomplishments.  She had a big heart for her beloved African Gray parrot, Gabby, who served as a constant companion for her.  

Wendy is survived by her children, Christie (Tim Brinda) Tanner of Forest Lake and Samuel (Katie) Tanner of Pennsylvania; grandchildren, Skylar Sullivan, Solomon & Samson Tanner; sister, Polly (Scott) Heaton of St. Paul; nieces, Leisa and Heidi Poser (Adam Kimmer); grand nephew, Christian Poser; and her beloved parrot, Gabby.  She was preceded in death by her husband, James; infant children, Jayson & Christa; her parents; and grandmother, Dorothy Truman.  

Memorial Services honoring the life of Wendy Schultz will be held at 11:00am on Wednesday, December 23, 2015 at Como Park Lutheran Church, 1376 Hoyt Ave W. in St. Paul MN. Visitation will begin 1 hour prior to services at the church. Wendy will be interred at Ft. Snelling National Cemetery, along with her husband, James.
